I have not had any problems yet on my 2019 SE. Looking at the action the plunger only prevents you from depressing the lock tab on the charge handle. So on one of my units I cut / shaves off the plastic part that hooks the lock tab, this way even if the plugger gets stuck (at least in my garage)...

In usa only SEL has park assit. The SE only has camera

Have a 2019 e-golf SE (no nav) but last month purchased a Tiguan SEL w/nav and it's maps are also out of date. Web / VW shows HERE as source for updates but they don't list any for the newer 2018/19 models. So I'm back to android auto. Also the sirrus traffic on the built in nav is very limited
