Delayed charging with Clipper Creek EVSEs fixed

Nevermind, it still doesn't work. I stupidly had my minimum battery at 100%. It's not charging with delayed charging again. I guess it's back to the dealership...

Delayed charging with Clipper Creek EVSEs fixed

I have a 2016 VW eGolf SE, and had charging issues up until just recently. The tech at the dealership said there was a CarNet software update which had resolved this issue for 2016 models. Apparently the fix for 2015 models wasn't applicable for 2016 models. The CarNet software update fixed...

Delayed Charging issue FIXED by software update TSB 2040470

Is it possible to create a small app that automatically logs into Car-Net and clicks "Start Charging" at a specified time? I'm sure VW would be the more appropriate party for creating this, but if all I want is a "start time", I think I need to just do it myself.

    handsfree problem

Were you using CarPlay? I had this happen to my iPhone 5 (9.2). I was on the phone for a minute or so, pulled into a parking lot and turned off the car. After about 30 seconds the mic stopped working. I just tapped the Bluetooth circle from the call screen and then chose "iPhone".

Delayed Charging issue FIXED by software update TSB 2040470

Clipper Creek customer support was excellent. Person who answered the phone said VW is aware of the problem, and are developing a fix for it. I asked if the VW software fix would be within 30 days, or 6 months, and his answer was: Much less than 6 months but not sure if it would be within 30 days.

Delayed Charging issue FIXED by software update TSB 2040470

Just wanted to report that I have an LCS-25 for my 2016 Golf SE and I'm having the same problem. I had a 2013 Ford Focus Electric which had a "Start time" which always worked for me. I think it figuring out when to start charging based off of the desired leave time is kinda ... german...

Another did I get a good deal thread $206 month

$2500 / 36 ~= 69 per month 165 + 69 = 234 per month For a 12,000 miles/year and that you're putting a fair amount down, I think you may be able to get it closer to 150-155 a month. Especially with it being right at the end of the year. But ~234 for 12k miles, that's not bad!

    Excess wear and tear insurance

I actually asked him if it was negotiable and he said no. For what it's worth, you may have actually purchased a maintenance package which includes the wear and tear. My wife regretted I didn't purchase the wear and tear (which matters a magnitude greater than this forum ;)) because if one of...

    Excess wear and tear insurance

No, it was Elk Grove VW. They said he wasn't the normal finance guy. He had a few too many cups of coffee to do any better I think.

    CarPlay intermittent outages

I haven't been able to pair my iPhone 5 (iOS 9.2) using CarPlay. It keeps saying "Canceled" or "Make sure device is not locked".

    Excess wear and tear insurance

They finance guy tried his hardest to get me to get this. Made me feel stupid for not. "I'm just saying, everybody get's this thing, so I don't understand what's holding you back..." It was 870+ dollars for the Excess wear and tear protection, and that just seemed too close to my 1,000...

Another did I get a good deal thread $206 month

I'm confused, is this for an SE or SEL? 2015 or 2016? When you say no cars to be found, were you able to find one? Pretty good deal for 10k miles, let alone 12k!

[Bay Area Leasing] Is this a good deal?

Thanks! This is helpful information. Somehow my current lease from 2013 was still at 15/30/25. Insurance company quoted me at $9 more per month for increasing the liability to 100/300/100 (that's on two cars, btw). Switching from my 2013 Ford Focus Electric to a 2016 e-Golf SE and increasing...

Another did I get a good deal thread $206 month

Well I was told $159 before taxes and fees, so I guess with $50 it makes it $209? Well I'll see how it goes tomorrow and report back. How do you like it? At $209 it would be $7,524 over the life of the loan. That's just barely beyond my $7,500 spending limit (I lose about 500 by turning in...

Another did I get a good deal thread $206 month

How many miles per year? I go in to buy one tomorrow, 2016 E-Golf SE, 36 mo. w/ 10k miles per year. I was given an estimate of $176/mo after tax, $0 upfront, but with license/registration likely $190 per/mo total. I'm anticipating $6,840 being paid over the life of the lease. With the CA...
