With arrival scheduled before the end of 2014, the e-Golf has been getting rave reviews. Now, instead of just watching others drive the e-Golf, take a look at how Volkswagen's first electric vehicle is built.

The footage reveals the high-voltage cables the e-Golf will rely on for power that are hidden beneath the sleek bodywork of the Mk VII Golf. It’s also worth noting that, although substantially different from its combustion-engined sibling, the e-Golf will be built on the same production line at Volkswagen’s Wolfsburg plant.
