Car Locks Automatically with Key Inside

I just got the car a few days ago, and I noticed that if I leave the car charged over night with the key inside, it will actually be automatically locked. Are there cases where it would auto lock even with the key inside? Is there a setting that we can change?

To the best of my knowledge, autolock after a few minutes is a standard feature by VW as this happens with my T5 as well.This is not available to settings, but should not happen when keys are on the steering column or in te car. If you leave the keys by exemple on the seat, and close the door, autolock will not operate.At least should not !
