E-GOLF vs standard GOLF or GTI seats, are they the same??

I know that our floor pans are different due to the batteries and that the floor mats need to be Egolf specific, but does anyone know if the seats are identical to the standard model in the way that they mount? I have the 2016 SE and might swap in some leather seats from a 2017 Golf. I wasn't sure if the egolf had to shorten the feet for additional battery room..

Only one way to find, which is to try. That said, be sure to swap the control modules from your seat to the leather seat to avoid any error codes.
