Long range batteries in e-golf

Here is an interesting article about a company developing long range batteries that Volkswagen is involved with. This technology would give an e-golf 430 mi. range along with some other advantages. Of course it may never come to pass, and there is no mention of price, but still interesting.

Quite interesting - that would blow my hopes of a 200mile 2018 model out of the stratosphere!

You will notice that the article was from March 2015 and there was talk of VW making a decision by July. There has not been any word from VW on their interest in QuantumScape since that time. This squarely falls in the "I'll believe it when I see it" category.

Yes, July has come and gone with no news on these solid state batteries.

VW could REALLY use some good news, right about now!
