Stuck charger lid

Has anyone found a way to unstick the charger lid? I have a 2018 eGolf and today was unable to open the charger lid despite unlocking the car. I've watched numerous youtube videos but none seem to directly address the 2018 eGolf. I'm feeling desperate because I live in South Carolina and am unable to find any VW dealerships that are "certified" to work on an eGolf. I may end up having to transport my car out of state just to get if fixed. I love my eGolf, but if I can't find anyone to work on it, I may end up having to sell it. I love not having to pay for gas!!

If anyone lives within several hundred miles of Greenville SC and can recommend a dealership, please let me know.
