    Continental Tires seem to drift

I had a similar issue with ProContacts on my Sportwagen TDI. (which I seem to have traded in at just the right time.) They're decent tires. Not terrible by any means. Just not great. I'm pretty happy with the Bridgestone Ecopia 422Plus. They are much quieter than the Contis on most surfaces...

    Continental Tires seem to drift

It only happened at highway speeds. Changing the tires fixed it.

NorCal e-Golf SEL Lease, should I do it?

The $7500 is not a rebate. It's a federal tax credit. If you were to buy the car, you would get a $7500 tax credit when you filed your 2015 taxes. When leasing, VW applies the credit, which they get as the owner of the car, to your cap cost reduction, the entirety of which is taxable.

    "Warning: Electrical System Malfunction"

The faults were in the following modules: 23-Brake Booster 5F-Information Electr. 75-Telematics 8C-Hybrid Battery BD-Hi Volt. Batt. Charger C5-Therm. mgt. So, there is some overlap with the components you mention.

    I had it removed.

    NRG EVGo account statement spam

My email to their support address hasn't gotten bounced. But, I have yet to receive a reply. I guess I'll give them a call on Monday. They do seem pretty amateurish for a major company.

    Continental Tires seem to drift

Is there another way to press it? It's doubtful. But, I'll check. I do notice the traction light come on occasionally when I peel out of a driveway, which involves rapid acceleration AND turning, simultaneously.

    Continental Tires seem to drift

I'm not a very eco-conscious EV driver, sad to say. I really haven't figured out how to squeeze the most from a KW. So far, my attempts at conservation have been limited to using B on the streets, and D on the freeway. I take off from red lights full throttle, and usually hit the 87mph limiter...

    NRG EVGo account statement spam

Weird. My e-Golf came with ChargePoint cards. They have much better online account management than NRG EVGo, which has almost nil.

    "Warning: Electrical System Malfunction"

I got a warning message like that the other morning. I first heard a "ding" when I unplugged the charger. I looked inside, and saw that warning on the instrument panel. I coiled up the cord, and went back to read it again, but it was gone. However, when I opened the driver door, it dinged...

    NRG EVGo account statement spam

Did anybody else get a barrage of duplicate emails of their monthly account statement? I got 14 last night! Plus, they charged me for a failed DC charge. (Fresh n Easy on Tasman in Sunnyvale, CA) I find it odd that they don't have a "my account" section of their website. ChargePoint's online...

    Continental Tires seem to drift

I ended up putting Bridgestone Ecopia 422plus on the car a few days ago. They do seem better ay highway speeds. (75-85mph) None of the weird drift I was experiencing. (Almost like being blown about in the wind. But, I can't really tell if they are quieter. They still make noise on rough and...

Lease a 2015 eGolf SEL now or wait for the 2016 eGolf SEL?

That seems pretty good. I got my 2015 SEL 3yr/30k lease 6 weeks ago at a net cost of $9,064. If we subtract the ext wear policy from yours, it comes to 9,594. So, only $530 for an add'l 6000 miles. (or, 9c/mile) You either got a very good deal, or I got a mediocre one. :D

    Key out of range error

I've had the car for about 5 weeks now, driving it every day. During two drives, out of approximately seventy, I have gotten "key out of range" errors. It didn't just happen once during those two drives. It would happen every few minutes until I arrived and stopped the car. In both cases, the...

    Trade in 2015 for a 2016

Agree on all counts! I'm gonna wait until 2018 when there will no doubt be an improvement in battery and/or motor technology that will increase range. I don't need an MDI cable at all, as my Android phone does fine with BT audio. I also keep my music on a 32GB SD card in the reader in the...

EVGo Quick/DC charging problems on eGolf

FYI - The EVgo DCFC's at Fresh n Easy on Fair Oaks and Tasman still don't work with our cars. Not with mine, anyway. The same issue others have had with it never successfully completing the initial communication phase.

    Features I'd like;

I couldn't agree more. How can they not have "lock"? Amazing. Windows up/down would certainly be appreciated in rainy climates. It all should certainly be doable, as Car-Net already communicates with the Comfort Control Module. I would also like to see either a way to remotely unlock just the...

    NAV Destinations via Car-Net?

Thanks Jack. I found that thread after I posted mine. So, I'm now able to download the destinations to the Nav. However, the majority of them contain incorrect address information. IOW, instead of the actual address, it just says "Center, <City>", and the city is often wrong, as well! About...

    NAV Destinations via Car-Net?

I've sent a bunch of destinations to my car via Car-Net. (It's so much easier than typing into the Nav itself.) But, I cannot see any way to choose them from the ridiculous Destination menus on the Nav. Does anybody know how to access these destinations? BTW, I had an RNS-510 in my prvious VW...
